昨年、語りの平松千恵子さんとMeg＋柳川デュオで、「怪談と即興音楽」のイベントを上演したことがきっかけとなって、こういうアルバムを制作しました。『東海道四谷怪談』の凄惨な六場面をモチーフにしたサックスとドラムス・パーカッションのデュオ・インプロビゼーション。登場人物それぞれが孕む欲望、嫉妬、執念など、人間の『業』を剥き出しに描写した音の絵巻物です。これには語りは入っていません。サウンドトラック版のようなものです。和文・英文による四谷怪談のあらすじ付。発売日は原則2月9日。直接販売または通信販売で。今回も手作業の製作で少量のリリースです。注文、お問い合わせ等は、柳川かMeg Mazakiさんに。

Pleased to announce that Homei Yanagawa and Meg Mazaki will soon release our latest album on February 9th. This is titled「四谷怪談」’YOTSUYA KWAIDAN’, one of the most well-known Japanese ghost stories of all times.
We chose 6 brutally impressive scenes from the story and improvised in a duo based on the excerpts.
Yanagawa and Meg would like to thank Chieko Hiramatsu , a storyteller, for giving us an opportunity to collaborate with her on stage last December. Without her, the du…o wouldn’t have come up with the idea to work on this album. We would also like to thank Kato David Hopkins for kindly proofreading my English summary of the story. (Actually, it was really really tough to write such a complicated story in brief in English !) His deep understanding in Japanese language and culture is highly respected.
